Deerfield Academy Admission Process and its Acceptance

Deerfield Academy is a well-known preparatory boarding school that has been around since 1797. This makes it one of the oldest high schools in the country.

The school's name comes from the small, historic town of Deerfield, Massachusetts, where its 330-acre campus is based.

More than a quarter of the campus is made up of sports areas, tennis courts, a gym, and a 5,900-square-foot bath house right on the Connecticut River.

At Deerfield Academy, every student is expected to take part in at least one activity outside of what they are studying.

Students can choose from a wide variety of clubs, sports teams, and other student groups at their school, such as theater, community service, debate, and many more.

Even though Deerfield lets students stay at home and go to school during the day, most of them choose to live on campus.

In fact, about 581 of the school's 650 students live in the dorms, while the other 74 attend classes during the day.

Students come from 36 states and 47 countries from all over the world.

This post is for you if you want to learn more about what the prestigious Deerfield Academy has to offer. Find out about Deerfield's acceptance rate, leisure activities, and a lot more by reading on.

Rate of Acceptance at Deerfield Academy

About 12% of people who apply to Deerfield Academy get in. With an average acceptance rate of 85% for all private high schools in the US, it is safe to say that getting into the renowned Deerfield Academy is not easy.

Like many other schools, Deerfield Academy's acceptance rate has been steadily going down over time, especially in the last few years. This is true for high schools, law schools, colleges, and other types of schools.

There are, of course, a lot of things that go into deciding whether or not a student will be admitted to the school, so students who really want to go to this private school shouldn't give up hope completely.

By a long shot, academic background is the most important thing when it comes to getting in. Students who want to go to Deerfield should make sure they stay in the same high school up until the time they apply.
